Why Aaron started a Valley mover that refuses to interline its own loads
Aaron Vasquez grew up between Winnetka and Reseda, two of the three ZIPs you pass driving Sherman Way out of Canoga Park. He spent most of his twenties behind the wheel of a 53-foot trailer, running the I-15 lane to Vegas, the I-10 to Phoenix, and the long I-5 grind up to Seattle and Portland over and over again. For years he was a lead driver and crew chief for two of the bigger long-haul moving outfits in Southern California, the kind with national-sounding names and yards full of trucks borrowed from a dozen different agents.
The pattern that finally pushed him out on his own was simple, and it kept repeating. A family in Encino or Sherman Oaks would sign with a logo they recognized, watch a local crew load their house, and then meet a totally different group of guys at the front door in Seattle or Denver three weeks later. The boxes had been transferred at an interline terminal somewhere in the desert, sat in a warehouse for who knows how long, and arrived with damage that nobody on either end was ready to own. He figured the Valley deserved a company that would just do the whole job itself.
